SKA - Avtomobilist

SKA - Avtomobilist - 4:0

30 December 2023

Thanks to a four-goal performance in a superb first period, SKA cruised to a routine victory against Avtomobilist Ekaterinburg at the Ice Palace, claiming a confident 4:0 win in the 2023/2024 KHL regular season.

Marat Khairullin quickly got the party started with a sharp, rising writer from the left circle

After Avtomobilist had wasted a handful of clear opportunities for their equaliser, Vasily Glotov doubled our advantage when swinging for a quick wraparound. Ekaterinburg promptly took the decision to swap Vladimir Galkin with Evgeny Alikin in their net.

However, that didn't have any effect on the flow of play, as Glotov grabbed another on the rebound and Arseniy Gritsyuk sent a low wrister under the right pad before the maiden stanza reached its completion.

Avtomobilist went on to create the vast majority of chances for the remainder of the match. Nevertheless, with Nikita Serebryakov in superb form, they couldn't break our defence down.

Tall 19-year-old Belarusian goaltender Pavel Moisevich did replace Serebryakov in our goal for the third period.

SKA will now prepare to host Vityaz Moscow Region in Saint Petersburg on Wednesday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 17:00 local time.
