Salavat Yulaev - SKA. Match day

SKA will complete this particular away series against Salavat Yulaev, in Ufa. This will be the second match between these two sides this campaign, with SKA coming comfortably out on top in Saint Petersburg 7:2 back on the 23rd of October 2014.
Salavat have had a very much up and down season so far, and simply cannot find any cosistency at all. They have not been able to string two wins together since beating Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Ak Bars in a row at the turn of the year, and they occupy fifth position of the Eastern Conference with 74 points. They have also gone through a mid season crisis, with head coach Vladimir Yurzinov seemingly being fired and then hired again in the space of a couple of days. Their top overall scorer is defenceman Kirill Koltsov, who has a very impressive 41 points to his name (13+28). Salavat have had their fair share of goalkeeping troubles, with neither Vladimir Sokhatsky or Leland Irving being able to successfully stand in for the injured Vitaly Koval.
Our team have been unstoppable this year, winning a full eight games out of eight. Last Thursday's dramatic 3:1 triumph over CSKA Moscow has brought SKA to within three points of CSKA at the top of the KHL table, and a win here today will momentarily at least bring the teams level. Artemiy Panarin remains the team's top scorer with 54 points from 47 appearances (23+31).
The Salavat Yulaev - SKA match will begin at 17.00 Moscow time inside the Ufa Arena, Ufa. 100 TV, KHL TV and KHL TV HD will all broadcast the game live, and you can also keep up date with events by either following our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
