Roman Rotenberg speaks after game three against CSKA

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- We imposed our brand of ice hockey on CSKA in the first period, but our finishing let us down. After that, the opponents took the initiative. In the playoffs, it's vital to respond to the situation in the correct manner. We believe in our team. I would like to thank our travelling fans for their wonderful support.

- Nikita Gusev didn't take to the ice in the third period.

- Our best players are on the ice. We treat every player the same, no matter of their name. We have other players in our squad who are prepared to take to the ice, so we will now have a think. You will see a different performance on Saturday, and different players.

- How do you react correctly to such defeats?

- This isn't our first loss of the season! You can't win without losing sometimes. Our task is to win the next match, a playoff series continues until one team wins four games. We're only just getting started. We understand exactly what needs to be done, and we believe in our players. When we were playing 5-on-5, we controlled the game. Our mistakes were committed when playing 4-on-4 and shorthanded.

- How does Dmitry Nikolaev feel?

- He's fine. Thankfully, certain body parts are still intact.

- CSKA were more dangerous when playing 4-on-4.

- I wouldn't say that, we're only talking about one good shift in which they managed to score. It was our mistake to put those players on the ice for that particular shift. The players who were prepared to play, fight and win should have been on the ice. This game depended on one mistake. As always, the opponents waited for us to commit an error, but we will make the required improvements for game four. We will prove that we can be faster and fresher.

- You've only scored four goals across 220 minutes in this series.

- CSKA are a strong team in defence, they have experienced players of high quality. We need to continue playing and make decisions quicker. At the same time, we must shoot more often and search for the rebounds. We showed this in the two opening games in Saint Petersburg.
