Roman Rotenberg speaks after winning game four against Torpedo away

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- Our guys did a great job, they followed the game plan throughout. They played for each other. However, there are aspects which require improvement, we must stop taking so many penalties. I would also like to point out that the officials were excellent today.

- SKA are playing better in Nizhny Novgorod than in Saint Petersburg against Torpedo in this series.

- It's vital to make improvements during the playoffs. This was only one game, we prepare for each match individually. In terms of our tactical approach, I really like how we are playing, we're adapting to the different situations on the ice while remaining true to our strengths.

- It seemed that SKA won pretty easily today.

- I'm only happy when we play correctly tactically and win with a large advantage! We don't want to create difficulties for ourselves, we've been working hard to defeat our opponents in emphatic fashion. We're happy that we started really well today and opened up a confident advantage.

- Just like last year in the playoffs, SKA are gradually taking full control of the series against Torpedo.

- Last year, we were 1:3 down to Nizhny Novgorod here in game four. You can never tell what's going to happen, everything can change in a second. Have Torpedo begun to struggle physically? No, I wouldn't say that. Torpedo have a young, determined team, they compete with a lot of speed. We also have a youthful set of players. Small details are making the difference.

- When Torpedo scored their second marker, did you immediately know that you were going to make a coach's challenge?

- Due to the noise inside the Nagorny Arena, I couldn't hear our video assistants via radio. We had to rely on them telling us that it was offside through hand signals! I would like to thank our assistants for spotting that the play was offside.
