Roman Rotenberg speaks after beating Torpedo away

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

"I think that everyone enjoyed the match today, it was thoroughly entertaining for both those at the arena and watching at home. Torpedo provided us with a really tough challenge, they fought hard and battled in every moment on the ice. In my opinion, this was their best game of the season so far.

"Unfortunately, we conceded a couple of goals against the run of play as a result of our mistakes, but our guys are feeling great psychologically and calmly regrouped. In terms of what requires improvement, we have to stop taking so many penalties which are affecting our tempo.

"Torpedo regularly caught us on the break-away? Their game is all about waiting for a mistake and speeding away on the counter. Yes, today they scored twice in such situations, but I'm not sure if that will happen again in their next game. We had 10 chances during the first period in comparison to their two, however we simply couldn't score. 

"Artemiy Pleshkov is our number one goalkeeper? We have a long road ahead of us. Pleshkov, Nikita Serebryakov and Pavel Moisevich are our three goaltenders in the first team. On that note, we're looking forward to when Moisevich returns from injury."
