Roman Rotenberg speaks after playing Avtomobilist in Yekaterinburg

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:
"First of all, I want to congratulate Yekaterinburg with record attendance of 11,870! The atmosphere inside the arena was fantastic.
"In terms of the match itself, I was happy with what I saw for 58 of the 60 minutes. Unfortunately, though, we moved away from the game plan for the final two minutes of play. The second goal which we conceded occurred because of one player not tracking back in defence as he should have done. I was impressed by how we competed, we fought hard and left it all out there on the ice. We have to remember that there won't be 3-on-3 overtime or penalty shootouts in the playoffs.
"We now have one game remaining before the playoffs begin. Avtomobilist are a really strong team, they have top foreign players such as Stephane Da Costa and Brooks Macek in their line-up. It was an even game if we take regulation time into account. Also, I would like to point out their goalkeeper Vladimir Galkin, who is probably the league's best in shootouts right now It's really difficult to score shootout goals against him.
"We could possibly finish in seventh spot of the Western Conference? Let's see what happens in Nizhny Novgorod against Torpedo, it's a match which we will try to win. The regular season is all about playoff preparation."
