Igor Larionov speaks after beating Sochi away

HC SKA head coach Igor Larionov:

"I would like to congratulate our group and the fans with this victory. The opponents are difficult to play against, and the quality of the ice here leaves much to be desired. Nevertheless, it's a part of the process. I congratulate our team with the two points, and Sochi with their performance towards the end of the third period."

If SKA expected Sochi to continue attacking in the third frame...

"We always respect our opponents. Sochi have a good team, and you have to be on your game in order to avoid dropping points against them. We wanted to play on the front foot, control possession and compete with discipline. We scored good goals at equal strength and on the powerplay, but we allowed Sochi to feel the puck in the closing stages. Nevertheless, we did win the match."
