Press conference after SKA hosted Spartak in Saint Petersburg

HC SKA head coach Igor Larionov:

"In terms of our performance level, it was an excellent match. Yes, we couldn't see it out, but I'm happy with the commitment displayed by our players and their energy. We'll analyse the mistakes which allowed Spartak to score their goals.

"Three close losses to Spartak after initially scoring first? We have one more game against them in Moscow soon. Before today, we had spoken about the fact that they're big opponents for us and Gazprom. Unfortunately, we ended up conceding two cheap goals in the closing stages. When you're playing in such matches, you have to compete in the right way, be patient and make the correct decisions."

HC Spartak Moscow head coach Alexei Zhamnov:

"It was a tough game. We struggled in the attacking zone for the maiden two periods, but we subsequently made adjustments and asked the guys to play the right way in the third frame.

"Alexander Georgiyev's last-gasp save in the final second? I was happy with that save, but we didn't play well during the concluding 30 seconds at all. I will speak to the team about that."
