Facts of SKA's nervy shootout victory in Tolyatti

13 January 2026

SKA have recorded 30 victories against Lada Tolyatti across 59 matches as a part of the domestic championship. Lada have earned 27 wins, while two games ended in a draw. The goal difference is 133-132 in Lada's favour.

For the first time in history, SKA have defeated Lada on four occasions during one single campaign. Furthermore, it's also worth noting that our players have recorded 10 consecutive away victories against these particular opponents.

This was also the first time when SKA managed to beat Lada in a penalty shootout.

Forward Mikhail Vorobyov has picked up 192 (65+127) points from 400 KHL appearances, with 165 (55+110) of them having been gained in 189 SKA games.

Fellow forward Nikita Nedopyokin scored his maiden KHL goal in his 24th league match.

Goalkeeper Sergei Ivanov dished out his first KHL assist for SKA. However, last season on 7 November 2024, Sergei had made an assist for his previous employers Sochi when he helped the visiting team win 5:2 in Saint Petersburg.

Forward Brendan Leipsic netted his first winning penalty shot in a KHL shootout.

The only player who has received more penalty minutes for SKA in the KHL than Sergei Plotnikov (395) is fellow forward Evgeny Ketov (394).
