Nikita Gusev: "We have worked on the aspects which required improvement"

HC SKA forward Nikita Gusev:

- A week has gone by since you defeated Spartak Moscow in the quarter-finals of the KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs. How have you spent that time?

- We had a rest at first, before subsequently working on the aspects which require improvement. We're ready for the series.

- What will be key against CSKA Moscow?

- The most important thing is to score more goals than them! We will play in our style.

- Will you focus on defence or attack?

- We always play to win. The score doesn't matter, the main thing is that we emerge victorious.

- What have the SKA coaches focused on when it comes to CSKA's defence?

- I think that it will become clear in the first match of the series. We're not going to reveal our secrets now.

- When playing in the quarter-finals, you only began to tally points towards the end of the series. Will you start this series better?

- Spartak played really well in the maiden games of the previous series, they were very aggressive. However, we made improvements as the series progressed and understood how we could beat them. It doesn't matter who registers the points, the only important thing is that we win.
