Sergei Plotnikov and Mikhail Grigorenko speak after hosting Lokomotiv

HC SKA forward Sergei Plotnikov:

"We expected it to be a tough match, Yaroslavl are a strong team. Unfortunately, we couldn't take advantage of the opportunities which we managed to create. Nonetheless, we're growing as a team as a result of such close games.

"Do I have special emotions for facing Lokomotiv? No, not anymore. I played for them a long time ago."

HC SKA forward Mikhail Grigorenko:

"Lokomotiv are leading the table, but we're only just behind. It was a challenging match in which both sides had their fair share of opportunities.

"What happened after such an entertaining first period? The two goalkeepers subsequently made the important saves for their respective teams. It's a shame that we failed to capitalise on our chance in the dying seconds, but we'll work on becoming more ruthless in front of goal."
