Yury Alexandrov: "We managed to regroup and take the win"

- Is it tough to play two matches in a row during training camp?

- Yes it is, I'm not going to deny that. Neftekhimik are in the same boat though, and in some way it was a very important match today. It's very good that we managed to peg them back and take the win, and we're happy with the victory.

- Despite the win, you probably aren't very satisfied with the team's defensive performance.

- Yes, we made some mistakes and didn't shoot very much ourselves. As a result the puck was in our zone a lot of the time, and Neftekhimik created more opportunities. We managed to regroup during the game though, and played more aggressively in the third period.

- You have now scored two goals in two games. Is there a chance that we will see more of an offensive Yury Alexandrov in the new season?

- It's too early to talk about this. As a defenceman the main thing is not to concede, but if I can score too it's even better.

- Why were the two matches against Neftekhimik so different?

- They also didn't want to lose, and they have good and experienced players. No one wants to drop two games in a row, and everyone wants to prove themselves during the pre-season.

- With Pyotr Khokhryakov out of the squad, the line-up was juggled around. Were there any problems?

- Maybe yes. Two new forward combinations were tried out, new things were experimented. We had to get used to this a bit, as during the first two games nothing was changed at all.
