Joakim Lindstrom: "I'm very honoured to be a part of SKA"

- Welcome to SKA! Have you been to Saint Petersburg before?
- I have been here a couple of times before for tournaments. It's a very nice city, and I'm very happy to be here.
- Five years ago you played for Torpedo against SKA. Do you remember that game?
- Yes, I remember the game against SKA here in Saint Petersburg. It was a sold out arena with a lot of fans, and it was fun to play here.
- How does it feel to join the KHL champions? It's harder to defend the title than to win it.
- It is. I'm very honoured to be a part of SKA, and I will try to contribute as much as I can to help the team win again. It's hard to win two years in a row, but we're going to do everything we can to make it happen.
- Did you speak with Jimmie Ericsson before agreeing on the deal?
- Yes, I talked to him quite a bit. We played together for a long time back in Sweden. He told me a lot of good things about the organisation and the city, and it was very nice to hear.
- Are you familiar with anyone on the team now?
- No. I have played against a lot of guys on the team, but I haven't played with anyone or know anyone.
- How did you spend your holidays?
- Yes, I'm ready. I managed to relax for a little bit, and then I went back to working out and training. It was a quick off-season, but I feel that I'm ready to go.
