Igor Larionov speaks after beating Lada away

HC SKA head coach Igor Larionov:

"First of all, I want to note just what a wonderful summer's evening it is here! In terms of the match, I would like to congratulate our players with their victory, and the opponents with their good performance. Taking into account that Lada have changed their head coach, we didn't really know what to expect from them, but this makes our win even more important. We wish Lada luck for the rest of the season."

SKA's good recent form...

"Our goalkeeper was excellent today, alongside our defensive play and our PK units. There wasn't any rhythm today and the conditions were difficult, but you need to know how to win such games. We can't control the refereeing, these things happen during the campaign. We defended well, were conservative when required and scored nice goals."

Why SKA took so many penalties...

"I don't want to say why this happened. It was a tense, emotional match. Everyone has the right to make mistakes, this concerns both the teams and officials."
