Igor Ozhiganov: "We conceded a sloppy late goal"

SKA defenseman Igor Ozhiganov:

- We could have won this match, but we conceded a sloppy goal with five minutes remaining. There were positive moments, however we took too many penalties. We ruined the game for ourselves. Nevertheless, it's pre-season, you can't avoid mistakes.

- All teams at this competition are taking a lot of penalties.

- We're not in ideal shape yet, maybe we are taking penalties because our legs just aren't moving fast enough. Perhaps some of the players are competing with too much desire too.

- You've already scored two goals at the tournament.

- Anton Burdasov gave me an assist yesterday, whereas today an Avtomobilist player inadvertently gifted me the puck. It's always nice to score, so I will be happy if this continues!

- SKA even scored when down 3-on-5 today!

- In the season, though, I think that we will see a maximum of one 3-on-5 goal! It's summer ice hockey, we can expect anything to happen.

- Have you been to the sea here yet during this trip?

- No, so far all we've done is play matches and spend time in the hotel. Hopefully, tomorrow will just be a recovery day, it would be nice to take a dip in the sea. It's always nice to play ice hockey in Sochi during the summer.

- Do you feel different after being named the SKA captain?

- Naturally, I have more responsibility now. I haven't captained a team since I played at school level! I need to get used to it, I have to encourage the rest of the guys more. I will gain experience as the campaign continues!
