The Gagarin Cup final. Game Five
The Gagarin Cup final. Game Five

Today on the 19th of April, SKA will take on HC Ak Bars Kazan in the Tatar capital in the fifth match of the KHL Gagarin Cup final series.
The series has been fantastic so far, as with four games gone our team confidently lead in the series 3:1. Two 4:2 and 1:0 wins respectively in Kazan gave SKA a huge advantage heading back to Saint Petersburg, however in the third match Ak Bars struck back with a 2:1 victory. Our team weren't willing to give two home games away though, and rallied round to reinstate the two game lead with a pulsating 3:2 triumph on Friday. Ilya Kovalchuk picked up three assists, with Yevgeni Dadonov netting the game winner early in the third period. Patrick Thoresen and Jimmie Ericsson were the other scorers, with Patrick's goal coming just 38 seconds into the opening frame.
Our goaltender Mikko Koskinen has been rock solid during the whole playoff campaign so far, with a solid 93.5% saves percentage to his name. Maxim Chudinov has the best plus/minus rating (+12) while also being the top scoring defenceman (1+8), and forward Vadim Shipachyov is the team's overall top scorer with 21 points (6+15).
Leading 3:1 in the series, it does mean that it's match point SKA as Ak Bars have no more room for error.
The Ak Bars - SKA match will begin at 17.00 local time inside the Tatneft Arena, Kazan. 100 TV, KHL TV, KHL TV HD and Rossiya 2 will all broadcast the game live, while you can keep up to date with events by following either our matchcentre, or our official twitter account.
