Jimmie Ericsson: "You have to come together as a team in the playoffs"

28 February 2015

- What was missing today?

- I think that we had good energy from the start, but in the middle of our zone we were not as strong as we want to be. We spoke about that in the break and got much better, but we were already in a 0:2 hole.

- Roman Cervenka said that the main thing would be to be focused in the head. Did that not happen, or were Torpedo simply stronger?

- Yes, we weren't there 100% with our heads, otherwise it wouldn't have been 0:2. When we were pressing we did things better, but I think that we didn't keep the puck inside the offensive zone as long as we wanted. We were going backwards instead of going for the second goal.

- What does the team need to do to begin well in Nizhny Novgorod?

- We take it one game at a time. We will start on Monday, we're going to be ready from the start taking the command, and we are going to control the puck better over the ice. We're going to make them suffer keeping the puck in their zone.

- What can you say about your first KHL playoff matches?

- No matter what competition you are in, playoffs are harder, and you have to push harder every night. You have to come together as a team, and not relax at all for the whole game.

- It seemed as though the head coach was more emotional than usual.

- Yes, he wasn't satisfied at all after the first period, and we all agreed with him.
