Dinamo Riga - SKA. Match day
Dinamo Riga - SKA. Match day

SKA will complete their 2015/2016 KHL regular season campaign with a match against HC Dinamo Riga in Latvia.
For our opponents today this will be their final overall game of the year, as Dinamo currently occupy 12th place in the Western Conference. That doesn't mean that it will be an easy game though, and the Latvians have traditionally been difficult opponents for SKA. They have already beaten our team 4:1 in Saint Petersburg earlier on in the season, and they will be eager to defeat SKA again to round off their campaign. Their current top scorer is forward Miks Indrasis with 32 points (14+18), while Czech goaltender Jakub Sedlacek has a 92.6% saves percentage and is coming off the back of a 1:0 shutout against Dynamo Moscow on Tuesday.
It has been an up and down KHL regular season for SKA, and today's match is the most crucial of the year so far. The playoff race in the West has been thrilling from start to finish, and here are all the possible outcomes:
- Any SKA win will take the team into fifth place, providing Dynamo Moscow lose in normal time in their parallel match. If SKA win in overtime and Dynamo lose in regulation, SKA will move up to fifth.
- If Dynamo take any points from their match with CSKA today, our team have to win in regulation time to stand a chance of fifth spot.
- If SKA drop points, there is a possibility that Torpedo Nizhny Novogord will overtake to leave us in seventh. They are currently one point behind on 99.
- In the instance that SKA, Dynamo Moscow and Torpedo all take the same amount of points today, SKA will remain in sixth.
The Dinamo Riga - SKA match will begin at 20.30 Moscow time inside the Arena Riga, Riga, Latvia. Life78 will broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events by following our online matchcentre or our official Twitter account.
