Dinamo Riga - SKA. Match day

15 January 2015

SKA will begin a new five match long away series today in Riga, against Dinamo. This will already be the third meeting between these two sides this season, with SKA having mixed fortunes so far. In Saint Petersburg our team came out on top with a late Dinar Khafizullin marker, after Andris Dzerins had cancelled out an Artemiy Panarin goal. It was a different story in Riga though, as after Anton Burdasov had struck in the first period Dinamo came back to win 4:2.

Dinamo are in the mix of a congested play-off tussle down the bottom end of the Western Conference, as they sit in 10th place with 59 points. Just like SKA they are unbeaten this year, having beaten Jokerit 3:2, Torpedo 2:1 and Severstal 2:0 all in Riga. Swedish forward Linus Videll is their top scorer, with 25 points to his name (7+18), and Miks Indrasis has scored more goals than anyone else on their team - 11.

It's been a great start to the new year for SKA, with four wins out of four. The previous victory against CSKA 3:1 at home was one of the best of the campaign so far, and has allowed our team to close the gap at the top to 7 points. Artemiy Panarin is the man of the moment, and having picked up 9 points from his past 5 games, he is SKA's top marksman with 52 points (23+29).

The Dinamo Riga - SKA match will begin at 20.30 Moscow time inside the Arena Riga. 100 TV will broadcast the game live, while you can also keep up to date with events by following our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
