Atlant - SKA. Match day

SKA will play their penultimate match of the 2014/2015 KHL regular season against HC Atlant Mytishchi. These two sides know each other extremely well having played three matches already this campaign, with Atlant winning 4:3 at home and 3:1 in Saint Petersburg, and our team getting the one 5:4 victory at the start of the season.

Atlant are bravely fighting away for a playoff spot in the Western Conference, and have just a couple of games left to somehow make the post-season. They currently occupy ninth slot in the conference with 79 points, although after losing to Jokerit 1:4 on Wednesday they can be overtaken by Severstal who have a game in hand. Their top scorer overall is Sergey Shmelyov with 36 points (9+27), while American defenceman Matthew Gilroy isn't far behind on 30 (9+21).

With a thumping 7:1 victory over Dinamo Minsk on Wednesday, SKA have virtually confirmed second place in the same conference. Our team should be full of confidence going into this one, and captain Ilya Kovalchuk got back on the score-sheet in Belarus taking his points total up to 54 (25+29).

The Atlant - SKA match will begin at 19.30 local time in Mytishchi. 100 TV and KHL TV will both broadcast the game live, while you can keep up to date with events either by following our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
