Andrei Kuzmenko: "Our teamwork was on show"

HC SKA forward Andrei Kuzmenko:

- It was a good match, but it's a shame that we lost in overtime because of our small mistakes. Nevertheless, despite the result, our teamwork was on show. We have to move through this tough moment together by working hard, we want to be on peak form nearer to the KHL Gagarin Cup playofs.

- SKA barely had any chances during overtime.

- Instead of protecting the puck, we made dangerous passes, something which resulted in us losing possession. We never managed to make shift changes when in control of the puck. CSKA, however, protected the puck and scored because of this.

- You used to play for CSKA. Is this why they were so rough against you?

- No. Everyone has a lot of emotions in such games, it's a normal thing. It's great when there is a lot of high-quality physical play.

- Why aren't you doing so many of your trademark moves in recent matches?

- It all depends on the moment. Today, for example, I was stuck behind the goal three times.

- Why couldn't you score your third?

- I had lots of chances. In the third period, I hit the crossbar with a wrist shot, and I also missed a great opportunity when taking aim on the crease. Lars Johansson emerged out of his goal, so I didn't have enough space to lift my shot over him.
