Alexander Samonov: "We will work hard during pre-season"

SKA goalkeeper Alexander Samonov:

- How did you rest during the summer break?

- I had a good rest, while also skating a bit. Now it's time to work again.

- What did your summer training sessions include?

- I travelled to a goalkeepers' training camp. Over the past two weeks, I have been working out in the gym in order to keep myself in good shape.

- Did you see any of your SKA teammates at all when on holiday?

- No, I didn't. I wanted to, but everyone had their own things to do, it was time for all of us to spend time with our respective families.

- Do you know SKA's new players?

- I haven't met them here yet. I know Lars Johansson and Stepan Falkovsky from when we played against each other, the same can be said for the rest of the players. We will speak more during the training camps.

- Who will wear the number 31?

- Lars seems to have number one on his bag, whereas I have the number 31.

- How ready are you for the 2021/2022 campaign?

- 70%, probably. It was a long 2020/2021 season, we didn't have much time to rest.

- Have you missed the Ice Palace atmosphere?

- Of course! We're looking forward to when the stadium will be full, we play for the fans and we will try to win for them. We will work hard during pre-season.
