Press conference after SKA breezed past Shanghai

HC SKA head coach Igor Larionov:

"It's nice to beat your neighbours 7:2! I hope that the fans enjoyed the goals which we scored and our victory."

When Linus Weissbach and Zakhar Bardakov will return...

"Linus is out for the next eight weeks, maybe even a bit more. Zakhar, on the other hand, should be back for the start of our upcoming away series. I really do hope that we won't suffer any more of these injuries.

"Trevor Murphy? He's looking in good shape at the moment, so hopefully he will be able to play again at the start of October. I hope that he will read this interview, as he wants to return to action a little later!"

Why Rocco Grimaldi isn't playing...

"Rocco's ill. He should have played in Sochi, however he came down with a cold. I asked him to play, but he couldn't. The doctors have given him four or five days in which to recover."

Factor of scoring seven...

"Having barely scored any goals in our recent games, we put a large emphasis on finishing our attacking moves in training yesterday. Maybe this provided the guys with enough confidence and go on and score seven goals today."

Line with Scott Wilson, Sergei Plotnikov and Nikolai Goldobin...

"The lads have good chemistry. Scott always puts tons of effort in, regardless of which line he's playing in. So much of the dirty work is undertaken by Scott! Coaches love players like him. He knows how to position himself correctly, plays with discipline and competes in the right way.

"Goldobin? He's doing what we're asking of him. Aside from his points, he's blocking shots and intercepting pucks in defence. Such small details make players better."

Shanghai Dragons head coach Mitch Love:

"It wasn't the easiest of evenings for us. We had analysed SKA beforehand, and they played exactly as how we had expected them to. They don't need a lot of chances to score. As soon as we committed a mistake, they immediately took advantage. We regularly lost possession at neutral ice and made too many errors."
