SKA - Neftekhimik. Match facts

For only the second time in KHL history, SKA scored a winning goal with a penalty shot in overtime. The first had been witnessed on 9 November last year, when Sergei Tolchinsky hit the jackpot against Traktor Chelyabinsk in Saint Petersburg.
Forward Evgeny Kuznetsov became the 50th player to score in overtime for SKA in the KHL. Nine of them are defensemen, with the remaining 41 being forwards. SKA have now achieved a total of 76 OT wins in the league.
Interestingly, this was only Kuznetsov's second overtime marker in the KHL. His first was registered on 25 October 2010 for Traktor against Spartak Moscow (4:3).
Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk became the first KHL team to concede three goals versus SKA via penalty shots.
