Vityaz - SKA. Facts of game four

28 February 2017

Scoring 23 goals in the series, SKA set a new club playoff record. The previous best was 22 against Atlant in both 2012 and 2013.

Nineteen players got at least a point in this first round. However, the record still belongs to 2012's series against Atlant, where 20 players got on the scoresheet.

SKA scored nine powerplay goals in this series against Vityaz, two off the record of eleven set against Dynamo Moscow last year.

This was the seventh occasion where SKA scored seven goals in one single playoff match. Also, this was the first time when SKA netted four powerplay markers during one knockout game.

Our players have beaten Vityaz in sixteen consecutive matches. Unsurprisingly, this is also a new club record for victories against one opponent in a row.

Vadim Shipachyov made his 50th SKA KHL playoff appearance. So far, he boasts 43 points (15+28).

Ilya Kovalchuk has 200 assists in 353 Russian championship games, while Pavel Datsyuk owns 100 in 293 fixtures.

With 19 points in 27 SKA games to his name (6+13), Patrik Hersley has become the club's top scoring Swedish defenseman.

SKA have played in 1222 Russian championship games, but the club have only scored in the final second of a second period four times.

However, the club have conceded five times at the 39:59 mark. Interestingly, one of those goals was scored by Evgeny Dadonov.

Yesterday's winning goal was scored after just four minutes and eighteen seconds.
