Vityaz - SKA. Match day

The second match of this KHL away series will take place against HC Vityaz in the Moscow suburb of Podolsk.

Today's opponents Vityaz have had a superb KHL campaign so far, currently occupying 8th place of the Western Conference. The Podolsk outfit have been especially impressive at home, incredibly winning eleven out of thirteen home fixtures. Proof of their ability is their 3:2 comeback victory over CSKA Moscow on Wednesday, as they recovered from a two goal deficit to win in the penalty shootout. They were involved in the season's most exciting game to date too, recently defeating Dinamo Minsk 9:6 at home.

Finnish goaltender Harri Sateri, who holds a 92.7 saves percentage, has bailed them out when needed. Their top scorer is 33 year old Alexei Kopeikin with 26 points (10+16), and ex SKA favourite Maxim Afinogenov is among their ranks.

Having defeated Dynamo Moscow 3:2 in a dramatic battle, SKA will be ready for another tough duel. Thanks to CSKA's loss in Podolsk, our team is breaking away at the top of the table, already six points clear of the nearest challengers.

The Vityaz - SKA match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the Vityaz Ice Palace, Podolsk. Life78 and KHL TV will broadcast live, and you can follow events on our official Twitter account.
