Vityaz - SKA. Match day

SKA's away series continues today with a fixture against HC Vityaz in the Moscow suburb of Podolsk.

This will be the second game against each other this season, as in last November SKA defeated Vityaz 5:3 in Saint Petersburg. Vityaz went on a long losing spell after that game, and after beginning the season with real promise they have slipped down to 13th of Western Conference with 52 points. They recently replaced their head coach, and Ravil Yakubov is now at the helm. Vityaz haven't played a game yet this year, and their final fixture of 2015 saw them go down to HC Spartak Moscow 3:6 at home. Ex SKA figure Maxim Afinogenov and Czech Roman Horak are their top scorers with 20 points apiece, and their star man is Finnish goaltender Harri Sateri. He has played more KHL minutes than any other goalkeeper this campaign, and currently holds an impressive 93.0% saves percentage.

Despite the disappointing 1:5 defeat to Dynamo two days ago SKA have kept a hold of sixth place in the conference, and a win today will again extend the gap between the teams sitting below. Forward Vadim Shipachyov continues to be the team's top scorer with 42 points (11+31).

The Vityaz - SKA match will begin at 17.00 local time inside the Vityaz Arena, Podolsk. Life78 will broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events either by following our online matchcentre or our official Twitter account.
