Vasily Podkolzin: "We protected puck possession and created chances"

SKA forward Vasily Podkolzin:

- It was a good match for us. However, we didn't play very well during the first period. Nevertheless, we subsequently improved and showed the ice hockey which we need to display throughout the entire campaign.

- How do you feel competing in the first line?

- It is always nice to play in the first line! We found mutual understanding, protected puck possession and created chances to score.

- Can we say that SKA deserved to win by a score of 8:1?

- It's difficult to say. When the score was 2:1, it could have gone either way. We're pleased that we started playing in the correct manner which consequently allowed us to score.
