CSKA - SKA. Match day

After a five day long break, SKA will return to KHL action with a high profile away fixture against HC CSKA Moscow.

Today's opponents need no introduction, and in the past two campaigns, CSKA and SKA have met in the Western Conference final. SKA beat CSKA on the way to the Gagarin Cup in 2015, however last season, CSKA gained some revenge by taking a 4:0 sweep. Following that season ending loss, our players are sure to be fired up for this match, and CSKA will have to be on their guard.

CSKA have been the main force during the last two KHL regular seasons, and they have begun strongly this year too. After losing their opening game to Metallurg Magnitogorsk, they have gone on a five match winning streak, and are managing to compensate for the loss of star forward Alexander Radulov. Their top scorer is currently ex SKA defenseman Denis Denisov with eight points (3+5).

Our players have registered a point in every match so far, and despite being without head coach Oleg Znarok and players Evgeny Dadonov, Vadim Shipachyov and Pavel Datsyuk, confidence should be high. Pyotr Vorobyov will be SKA's interim coach during the World Cup of Hockey.

The CSKA - SKA match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the LDS CSKA, Moscow. Life78, Match TV, KHL TV and KHL TV HD will all broadcast live, and you can follow events on our official Twitter account.
