Metallurg Magnitogorsk - SKA. Match facts

4 December 2020

Forward Malte Stromwall became the 20th Swedish player to represent SKA. So far, one goalkeeper, seven defensemen and 12 forwards has played for our club. Furthermore, this is the first time when four Swedes have competed for SKA in one particular campaign, beating the previous record of three. This season, goalkeeper Magnus Hellberg, defensemen Lukas Bengtsson and Oscar Fantenberg and forward Stromwall have played for SKA in the KHL regular season.

Fellow forward Evgeny Ketov has now made 850 appearances in the domestic championship, collecting 316 (164+152) points along the way. 116 (63+53) have been tallied for SKA, more than any other player in the current team.

Artyom Zemchyonok, who used to be on SKA's books, became the fourth defenseman to score a winning goal against our organisation in the KHL for Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Yegor Yakovlev - another former SKA player - had grabbed the winner against SKA in the team's previous meeting in the 2020/2021 season in Saint Petersburg. The first two winning markers registered by defenseman for Magnitogorsk against SKA arrived in the 2013/2014 season (Chris Lee) and the 2014/2015 campaign (Rafael Batyrshin).
