Traktor – SKA. Match facts

As a head coach, Roman Rotenberg has now achieved 100 victories. He only required 148 matches to reach a century of wins.

Rotenberg’s maiden game as the SKA head coach was witnessed on the 25^th of September 2020, when SKA hosted Ak Bars Kazan in Saint Petersburg (2:3 SO). He replaced Valeri Bragin as the team’s boss for that particular match as a consequence of the latter sitting on the sidelines with an illness. Subsequently, in January 2022, Rotenberg managed his first match as the permanent SKA head coach, as our team defeated Kunlun Red Star 5:1 in Mytishchi.

Our first goal scored by Croatian forward Borna Rendulic marked SKA’s 3000^th in the history of the KHL regular season. Interestingly, no other KHL club has yet achieved this. SKA required 901 regular-season games to score a minimum of 3000 markers.

SKA have defeated Traktor Chelyabinsk in seven consecutive games for the first time in history. This streak initially began on the 5^th of December 2020, when SKA claimed an emphatic 5:1 triumph away in the Urals.

Alexander Nikishin is the first SKA defenseman to score at least 10 goals in his first two KHL regular seasons for our team.

It’s also worth noting that this was the maiden occasion when Nikishin hit the empty net in a competitive match as a SKA player.

Vladimir Alistrov made his 200^th KHL appearance. To date, the forward has picked up 80 (36+44) points, with 31 (13+18) of them having been registered in 38 matches since joining SKA this summer.

Nikita Serebryakov is the first goalkeeper to dish out an assist both for and against SKA in the KHL. Previously, on the 14^th of November 2018, he had made an assist for Admiral Vladivostok in Saint Petersburg when SKA gained a large 8:2 victory.
