Torpedo - SKA. Facts of game three

For the first time in a KHL away game, SKA scored two shorthanded goals. Previously, SKA had only tallied two shorthanded markers in two KHL home matches.

In 74 matches so far this season, Alexander Nikishin has picked up 60 (13+47) points. Only Chris Lee has recorded more points (86 in the 2016/2017 campaign for Metallurg Magnitogorsk) among defensemen during one single KHL season than Nikishin.

Moreover, this was Nikishin's first shorthanded goal in the league.

Dmitry Nikolaev made his 51st appearance of the season. Among goalkeepers, only Mikko Koskinen has competed in more games during one KHL campaign for SKA (56 games in the 2015/2016 season).

38 saves is a new shutout record for Nikolaev in the KHL. His previous best was 37 stops for his clean sheet against Dynamo Moscow in Saint Petersburg on January 13 this year (2:0).

Forward Alexander Volkov participated in his 100th competitive SKA game. So far, he has gained 36 (19+17) points, with 27 (15+12) of them being recorded in the current season.

Fellow forward Marat Khairullin scored his first game-winner in the Gagarin Cup playoffs. Furthermore, three of his five playoff goals so far this season have been netted in the concluding minute, repeating Viktor Tikhonov's club record from 2013. He has also scored four empty-netters in these playoffs to date.
