Spartak - SKA. Match facts

31 January 2021

The fourth goal marked SKA's 1400th in 443 away matches in the KHL.

Forward Evgeny Ketov has now scored 20 shorthanded goals in the KHL, more than any other player in league history. Nearest challengers Alexei Tereshchenko and Konstantin Panov both tallied 11 markers when on the penalty kill.

Evgeny is also the first KHL player to score a minimum of 10 shorthanded goals for one club. Spartak Moscow became ninth team to concede a goal on the powerplay to Evgeny.

The last time when a SKA player had scored a goal shorthanded against Spartak was Petr Prucha on 19 February 2012.

Evgeny Ketov has scored a goal at equal strength, on the powerplay and shorthanded in competitive games against Spartak. He is the only SKA player to boast such a record.

Alexander Samonov is the first SKA goalkeeper in the KHL to record a shutout in both of his first two matches against a particular opponent for our team. Last year, on February 3, he stopped all 21 shots he faced to help SKA claim a 1:0 victory.

Furthermore, in the past three consecutive duels between Spartak and SKA at the CSKA Arena in Moscow, our players haven't conceded a single goal:

3 February 2020: Spartak - SKA - 0:1

17 September 2020: Spartak - SKA - 0:2

30 January 2021: Spartak - SKA - 0:5

All of defenseman Lukas Bengtsson's last five goals for SKA in the KHL have turned out to be game-winners. Four of them have been registered in the 2020/2021 regular season, matching the club record among defensemen which was originally set in the 2016/2017 campaign by Anton Belov. Lukas has also matched David Rundblad's record of five consecutive winning goals (2018/2019 season).
