SKA - CSKA. Game three facts

27 March 2016

111 minutes and 12 seconds is a new Russian record for the amount of time in one game without a single goal being scored. The previous best was 98:59 in a match between Traktor and Ak Bars Kazan in 2013.

This match was also the longest in the history of both SKA and CSKA. Last year, the same two teams played 101 minutes and 38 seconds before Roman Lyubimov scored for CSKA.

Before this game, SKA had lost in overtime on 60 separate occasions. Interestingly, Geoff Platt has become the first player to score against SKA in overtime twice. In the first game of this season, he netted the extra frame winner after just 25 seconds.

Maxim Chudinov (43:42) and Evgeny Dadonov (38:20) have now played more minutes in one game than anyone else in their respective positions.
