SKA - CSKA. Game Six facts

6 April 2015

SKA's first goal was the team's 255th in this season. This has also become a new club record, beating the previous best of 254 from the 2011/2012 campaign. Overall our players have scored more than 200 goals for each of the past five seasons.

It is the first time ever that SKA have won 11 matches in the KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs, bettering the old record of 10 in 2013.

From 460 KHL matches our team has 1500 goals, while conceding 1019 at the same time. 1278 of those scored goals have come in the KHL regular season, with the extra 22 coming in the playoffs.

Ilya Kovalchuk has now joined Artemiy Panarin and Yevgeni Dadonov on 30 goals for the season so far. Seasons when so many players all hit the 30 mark don't happen too often, although well back in the 1968/1969 season eight players hit the net 30 times each.

It was Patrick Thoresen's 80th SKA goal, and his second overtime winner for our team. The first came on the 20th of February 2013, as four minutes into the extra frame he found the net against HC Atlant in Saint Petersburg.

Patrick is indeed only the second SKA player to score two overtime goals for the club. Mattias Weinhandl also managed to do the same in two matches in a row against HC Spartak Moscow in 2011.

Alexander Radulov's scoring streak against SKA has now ended, as for HC Salavat Yulaev Ufa and HC CSKA Moscow he picked up at least one point against our team for 19 games in a row.
