Thursday's match marked SKA's 600th game at the Ice Palace in the domestic championship. The first match had taken place on 24 September 2001 against Ak Bars Kazan (1:3).

Overall, SKA have won 397 games at the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace, drawing seven and losing 196. The goal difference is 1945-1306 in SKA's favour.

It's also worth pointing out that 5,556,962 fans have attended SKA games at the Ice Palace so far!

Interestingly, SKA had previously won the 100th, 200th, 300th, 400th and 500th matches at the arena, before conceding a slender overtime defeat to Spartak Moscow yesterday in the 600th game.

On 15 January 2012, SKA did in fact play an away game at the Ice Palace, as Barys Nur-Sultan were formally the home team. Barys emerged victorious by a score of 5:2 in that particular match.

In 200 KHL appearances, forward Danila Moiseev has registered 43 (16+27) points. Five (2+3) of them have been tallied in 26 SKA games.

Fellow forward Artyom Shvets-Rogovoi has now picked up at least one point in three matches in a row, a new personal record since becoming a SKA player.

Spartak forward Alexander Khokhlachyov became the fifth player in the KHL to score against his former employers SKA in overtime. Sergei Varlamov (Dinamo Minsk), Alexander Osipov, Vadim Shipachyov (both Dynamo Moscow) and Kirill Koltsov (Traktor Chelyabinsk) had achieved this in the past.
