SKA have suspended cooperation with the Olympic Reserve in Kondopoga and the SKA Karelia school

SKA Hockey Club would like to express its gratitude to the Head of the Republic of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov and the deputy Prime Minister of the Parliament of the Republic of Karelia Larisa Podsadnik for the productive cooperation and the joint efforts in developing ice hockey in the Republic of Karelia.
HC SKA has taken the decision to suspend the cooperation agreement with the Kondopoga Federal State Olympic Reserve and the Olympic Council of the Republic of Karelia (the youth SKA-Karelia school).
SKA actively cooperated with the governing body of the Republic of Karelia across a period of 12 years, helping to develop local ice hockey while providing personell, financial, methodical and practical assistance.
A meeting was held between the SKA management and a delegation of the Republic of Karelia in November 2023, during which matters concerning the support of youth sport, the operation of the SKA Karelia academy and the performance Junior Hockey League (MHL) team SKA Karelia were discussed. However, the meeting did not have an effect on the overall situation. Recently we have seen that the efforts and funds which were provided with the aim of developing ice hockey have not yielded the desired results.
In this situation, SKA believes that it's more appropriate to focus on the development of ice hockey, both youth and mass, with the SKA Academy in Saint Petersburg, Leningrad Region and other regions while continuing to support the SKA Junior Academy team and the Red Machine Junior school in Moscow and Moscow Region.
