SKA will dispute the fine imposed on Alexander Medvedev by the KHL

SKA Hockey Club will dispute the fine imposed by the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) on the club's Chairman of the Board of Directors Alexander I. Medvedev for the statement which he made on 26 March 2024.

HC SKA believes that A. I. Medvedev outlined the facts concerning situations in Russian sport overall, citing examples with which he had direct involvement; namely incidents which occurred in matches with the participation of Zenit Basketball Club and SKA Hockey Club in the 2023/2024 season. These particular incidents outlined the problem as a whole.

We would like to add that the arbitration court which is administered by the National Centre of Sporting Officiating recently overturned the decision of the KHL Disciplinary Committee, recognising the wrongdoing in imposing a fine on SKA head coach R. B. Rotenberg from 22.12.2023.

The court met the demands of HC SKA in full and ordered the KHL to refund HC SKA 500,000 rubles.
