Friendly win against Avtomobilist!

SKA achieved their second friendly win of the summer on Friday afternoon, defeating Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg 2:1 in a tense clash at Hockey City.

Following an initial scoreless 35 minutes, the deadlock was eventually broken by Matvei Korotky.

When completing a flowing passing play, the young forward hammered a sharp one-timer beyond away goalkeeper Vladimir Galkin.

In truth, there was very little to separate the sides in what was a tight contest, but our second goal arrived through Valentin Zykov’s low effort on the counter-attack.

Stephane Da Costa ruined Yegor Zavragin’s shutout hopes late on, however SKA held on for a slender victory.

SKA will now host Avangard Omsk in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday in the concluding friendly match before the 2025/2026 KHL campaign subsequently begins.
