This was the first match between SKA and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl this season which ended with the winning team emerging victorious by a margin of more than one goal.

The opening goal scored by forward Valentin Zykov in the second period was our 100th of the current KHL campaign at the Ice Palace. It took our team 29 home matches to net 100 markers in Saint Petersburg this season.

In 122 competitive matches for SKA, fellow forward Marat Khairullin has picked up 100 (48+52) points. It's worth pointing out that the only two clubs which Marat is yet to tally a point against for SKA are Lada Tolyatti and Salavat Yulaev Ufa.

Alexander Nikishin is the first SKA defenseman in history to register a minimum of three points in six separate KHL games for our team. Furthermore, Alexander is the fifth SKA defenseman in the league to score at least 30 goals, following in the footsteps of Igor Ozhiganov (31), Anton Belov (36), Patrik Hersley (39) and Dmitry Kalinin (46).

For the first time in the KHL, forward Alex Galchenyuk has gained points in four consecutive games.
