21 December 2018

In 600 KHL regular season matches, SKA have tallied 414 victories and scored 2061 goals. Both statistics are the best in the entire league. CSKA Moscow are second with 387 wins while Salavat Yulaev boast 1861 goals.

After 17 consecutive 2018/2019 KHL regular season matches without conceding any goals shorthanded, Dinamo Riga scored on the powerplay in the second period. The last time when SKA conceded a goal when playing on the penalty kill was on October 24 with Teemu Hartikainen scoring for Salavat Yulaev Ufa. SKA then killed off 39 successive penalties in nine home matches and eight on the road. The previous best for SKA was 10 matches in a row in the 2014/2015 and 2017/2018 campaigns.

Pavel Datsyuk registered a point in the seventh KHL match in a row, something which is now a personal record. In those seven games, Pavel has tallied eight (3+5) points.

In 300 KHL matches, SKA forward Alexei Kruchinin has picked up 118 (50+68) points, with 11 (6+5) of them coming in 31 KHL games for our club.

Swede Patrik Hersley required just 124 KHL matches to register 100 (37+63) points for SKA, a record among defensemen. The previous club record was held by Dmitry Kalinin with 100 points in 167 appearances. Patrik has played against 27 opponents with SKA, taking at least one point against 24 of them. In the 2018/2019 KHL season, Patrik, Alexander Barabanov, Sergei Plotnikov and Pavel Datsyuk have all reached the 100 point landmark for SKA.

HC Dinamo Riga forward Linus Videll is the first Swedish forward to score a KHL hat trick against SKA. Four Czechs and one Finn had previously scored three goals against SKA in the KHL. Incidentally. Linus Videll is currently the only Dinamo Riga player to score on SKA this season.
