SKA - Amur. Match facts

23 November 2020

This was the seventh time in the KHL when SKA scored a minimum of four powerplay goals in one home match. The previous occasion when SKA did tally four powerplay markers in a single game at the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace was on 15 November 2016 in a 9:0 thrashing of HC Barys.

Furthermore, in the KHL, this is the maiden occasion when SKA registered four powerplay goals against Amur Khabarovsk.

Swedish goalkeeper Magnus Hellberg made his first appearance against Amur in a SKA jersey. Overall, he has now competed against 24 different KHL opponents for SKA, tallying at least one victory against 20 of those teams. Magnus is only yet to defeat Avangard Omsk, Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, Salavat Yulaev Ufa and CSKA Moscow. He is the fifth SKA goaltender to beat a minimum of 20 KHL clubs, following in the footsteps of Robert Esche (20), Ilya Ezhov (23), Mikko Koskinen (26) and Igor Shestyorkin (28).

Forward Vladislav Kamenev scored two goals in one KHL match for the first time in his career.

So far, defenseman Igor Ozhiganov boasts 15 (3+12) points in 23 games of the current campaign, beating his previous SKA record of 14 (2+12) in 39 matches of the 2019/2020 season. Moreover, two assists on Sunday allowed Igor to become the first defenseman to gain points both for Amur and SKA in KHL games between the two clubs; he previously dished out one assist for Amur when playing against SKA.
