SKA - Ak Bars. Match facts

Our team went 10 matches in a row without conceding on the penalty kill. Unsurprisingly that is a new Russian championship and KHL record for SKA, and the previous best was eight games on the spin between the 18th of September and the 10th of October 1996.

It was the first time in Russian championship history that SKA had lost to Ak Bars by a difference of more than three goals. Three times before Ak Bars had managed to score 3 more goals than SKA.

It was only the second ever defeat for SKA by four goals in the KHL regular championship. The first came on the 11th of January 2012 against Severstal - 0:4. It was also the fifth time that SKA had conceded five goals in the KHL - two victories had been earned against Traktor and Yugra 7:5, while a couple of 3:5 defeats were dropped against Khimok and Salavat Yulaev Ufa.
