SKA - Admiral. Match day
SKA - Admiral. Match day

SKA will play their third match of this KHL home series against HC Admiral Vladivostok.
Our players have won three games in a row, the previous being a 4:1 triumph over Amur. The opponents today will be fellow Far Easterners Admiral, a team which was only founded a few seasons' ago. During that time, they've managed to become rather awkward opponents for SKA, winning twice in Saint Petersburg (3:1, 4:3 SO) and once at home in Vladivostok (5:4 SO).
However, Admiral's hope of another shock upset has been dented by their poor form this season. Out of 12 matches, they only have four wins, with three of them coming in regulation. They lost their last fixture 0:3 to HC CSKA Moscow and in that game, young goalkeeper Maxim Tretyak made his Admiral debut. Among their ranks are ex SKA forwards Vladimir Tkachyov and Andrei Sigaryov, and the former has been fantastic so far this campaign, racking up 14 points already (6+8).
Alexander Barabanov of SKA, who has starred throughout the season, was named the KHL's top forward of the week. He added three assists to his total in the win against Amur and is proving to be a real handful. Goaltender Igor Shestyorkin has started seven games in a row.
The SKA - Admiral match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. Life78 and KHL TV HD will broadcast live, while you can keep up to date with events by following our official Twitter account.
