SKA-1946 earned MHL silver

SKA-1946, the youth team of SKA Hockey Club, earned the silver medal of the 2024/2025 MHL campaign.
Unfortunately, despite having historically recovered from a 0-3 series deficit against Spartak in the Kharlamov Cup final, game seven of the series fell the hosts' way by a score of 6:2 in Moscow.
Our players had confidently defeated Krasnaya Armiya (3-0), Loko Yaroslavl (3-0) and Omskie Yastreby (4-2) on their way to the final. It's worth pointing out that SKA-1946 had previously won the Kharlamov Cup both in 2022 and 2024.
SKA-1946 had initially finished in second spot of the Western Conference in the regular season, only trailing leaders Spartak by two points. Our forward Ignat Lutfullin was the regular season's top scorer with 66 (23+43) points, while defenseman Artyom Vilchinsky recorded the best plus/minus record at +47 and goalkeeper Yaroslav Korostelyov registered the best GAA with a statistic of 1.53.
In the ensuing playoffs, forward Matvei Korotky landed more hits than any other player (55) and Ivan Vydrenkov became the leading scorer among defensemen with 14 (3+11) points from 19 appearances. Vydrenkov also topped the list concerning the amount of shots which were blocked (39).
HC SKA congratulates the team with a successful campaign! SKA-1946 will once again fight for the Kharlamov Cup next year!
