Yegor Savikov scored the latest winning goal for SKA in the KHL in Saint Petersburg with a mere 19 seconds remaining on the clock. The previous record had been set by fellow defenseman Anton Belov, who tallied the decisive marker against Slovan Bratislava at home on 13 January 2016 (3:2) with 20 seconds left in the third stanza.
However, the overall marker still belongs to forward Kirill Marchenko, after he had netted the winning marker against Kunlun Red Star in Moscow Region on 22 February 2021 with only 16 seconds remaining in regulation time.
Defenseman Markus Phillips made his 100th KHL appearance, having picked up 20 (2+18) points across that time. Seven of his 18 assists have been made in 38 SKA games to date.
Forward Brendan Leipsic has registered 181 (77+104) points from 300 KHL games, with 15 (11+4) of them having been gained in 35 SKA matches.
In terms of matches for SKA in the KHL regular season, forward Sergei Plotnikov is now in fifth position with 294 games under his belt. He only trails Ilya Kovalchuk (298), Ilya Kablukov (300), Viktor Tikhonov (310) and Evgeny Ketov (440).
Fellow forward Joe Blandisi became the first SKA player in the current campaign to score 10 goals.
