Facts of SKA's dramatic overtime triumph against Shanghai at home

7 November 2025

SKA have achieved 20 victories in 26 KHL matches against the Shanghai Dragons, who were previously known as Kunlun Red Star. The Chinese outfit have indeed become the 21st league team to concede a minimum of 20 losses to our club.

Having scored with a mere three seconds having been played in the extra frame, Trevor Murphy registered the quickest overtime goal in KHL history. The previous record of netting just six seconds into the additional period had been held by Vityaz Moscow Region forward Pavel Boichenko against Khimik Voskresensk on 8 October 2008.

SKA's OT record of scoring at the 60:16 mark had been held by forward Vladimir Tkachyov against Salavat Yulaev Ufa on 16 November 2020.

For the first time since joining SKA, Murphy picked up three (2+1) points in one single game. Interestingly, the defenseman has scored both of SKA's two overtime winning goals so far this season.

Yegor Zavragin made his 50th KHL appearance for SKA. To date, the goalkeeper has achieved 22 wins in either regulation or overtime, gained four shutouts, dished out two assists and conceded 119 goals.
