Metallurg Novokuznetsk - SKA. Match day

SKA will continue their Siberian Russian road trip with a match against KHL underdogs HC Metallurg Novokuznetsk.

Despite Metallurg not being among the favourites this won't be an easy fixture at all, and today's hosts will be sure in themselves coming into this one. Having begun the new campaign with defeats against Vityaz, Dynamo Moscow, HC Slovan Bratislava and Medvescak they took their first win at home against Spartak on Friday 2:1, and currently hold five points from a possible fifteen. During the summer they kept hold of key players such as Ryan Stoa, Alexander Komaristy and Mikhail Kuklev, and managed to sign Czech goaltender Filip Novotny as well as Robert Kousal from Vityaz. Filip Novotny hasn't been their number one goaltender so far however, as Andrey Kareev currently holds a 92.6% saves percentage,

Our team have struggled somewhat, and began the Siberian tour with a 2:5 reverse against Sibir. Seven points are on the board so far, and our top goalscorer continues to be Vadim Shipachyov on five points (1+4).

The Metallurg Novokuznetsk - SKA match will take place at 13.00 Moscow time. 100 TV will broadcast the game live, whereas you can keep up to date with events by following our official Twitter account.
