Lokomotiv - SKA. Match day

SKA's third match of this away series will take place in Yaroslavl against HC Lokomotiv.

This will be the second game against these opponents this campaign, as not long ago in Saint Petersburg Lokomotiv beat our team 3:0. Things have changed since then though, and Lokomotiv already find themselves atop the Western Conference. After a long winning streak the Yaroslavl outfit have pulled away from all their challengers, and have exposed themselves as early season favourites. Goaltender Alexei Murygin set a new record for the most amount of time without conceding a goal, and he does hold a very impressive 95.6% saves percentage. Their front three of Daniil Apalkov, Petri Kontiola and Egor Averin have been deadly this campaign as well, and have a combined total of 75 points between them.

Our team got back on track with a 3:2 overtime win against HC Lada Togliatti, and are well back in the hunt for a conference playoff berth. Another victory is well needed today too, as HC Sochi don't seem willing on to losing points.
