2021 SKA Development Camp

The 2021 SKA Development Camp will take place at the Hockey City complex in Saint Petersburg between the 4th and 20th of July.

This will be the fourth SKA Development Camp held by our club.

Young SKA system players, under the guidance of club coaches, will participate in the camp by training in accordance with the Red Machine National Development Program. The aim of the Development Camp is to create the required facilities for the adaptation process of junior players to the demands of senior ice hockey, while training at the best possible level physically, psychologically and professionally.

General manager of the Russian national team, Roman Rotenberg:

- We're staging the Development Camp for the fourth time, and we can confidently state that it greatly helps our young players not only prepare excellently for the upcoming season, but also to improve their skills. All training sessions are held in accordance with the Red Machine Development Program, with the players working over their power skating and technical, tactical and physical abilities. Both overall group workouts and sessions specifically for either goalkeepers, defensemen or forwards will be witnessed. Qualified specialists from our system's teams will work with the young players, so our new guys will have the opportunity to get to understand the coaches' demands before the pre-season fully begins.

Our goal is to ensure that our players have high-quality training facilities. In order to prepare for the new season, players don't need to travel abroad or hire ice rinks, as they know that our Hockey City complex contains all of the necessary facilities for their development. We're happy that other KHL clubs are also organising similar training camps for their players, this is a tendency which can help us keep our young players here in Russia.
